About
Physics, then software.

I studied Industrial Physics at the Federal University of Technology Owerri and graduated in 2015, in the top ten of my class. My final year project was a rechargeable digital blood pressure monitor, which was the first time I had to make hardware and software agree with each other and the first time I learned that they do not want to.
I came to software because I wanted to build things that solve problems people actually have, and because physics had already taught me the habit that matters most in engineering: when the result disagrees with what you expected, the result is right and you are wrong.
Most of what I do now is websites and web systems for service businesses, which is what the four case studies on this site are about. Some of it is harder engineering that I do not sell yet, because I would rather have more of it behind me before I put a price on it.
How I work
Shokunin.
There is a Japanese idea I keep coming back to. A shokunin is a craftsman, but the word carries an obligation the English word does not: the duty to make the best possible thing, not because a customer demanded it, but because producing inferior work is a failure toward everyone it touches.
I find that a more useful standard than a list of values, because it is testable. It is why every case study on this site names the weakest decision in the project. It is why the Largest Contentful Paint figure on the GEE Expert page is published as a problem rather than omitted. And it is why I rejected a fine tune I had already built when the evidence said the simpler thing was safer.
Excellence first, then everything else. Not as a slogan. As an ordering.
What I believe
There is always a way.
That line sits at the top of this site, and it is not there because it sounded good. I believe there is always a way, because I believe that with God nothing is beyond us.
In practice it means I do not accept that a problem is impossible until I have actually tried it. The hardest thing I have built runs offline, with no internet, on a laptop from 2015 that was not supposed to be able to run it. Most of that work was finding out which of the obvious approaches did not work.

Partway through that programme my tutor found out I knew Python and put me in front of a university intern who needed it for cybersecurity. He learned it, moved into the field, and later sent me a classmate who wants to learn full stack development. Nobody paid for any of that and it was the first time I understood that teaching this work is something I am going to end up doing properly.
The mentoring is the part people do not expect. Four years of founders across three countries asking how to get their business online, one conversation at a time, is a fairly direct education in what small companies actually need from the web, and how little of it most of them are getting. It is also why the services side of this site exists.

“My relationship with Chukwuma spans about four years, in the course of which I have acted as his solicitor and also worked alongside him on several matters. That vantage point gives me a clear view of the man behind the work. He is thorough, he honours his commitments, and he treats deadlines and instructions with the seriousness a professional relationship requires. In my practice I deal regularly with parties who overpromise and underdeliver, so I do not use words like integrity casually. He has it. Any organisation entrusting him with a software or website contract can expect diligence, transparency and a finished product that reflects well on them.”
